Christopher Lane, Executive Director

Christopher Lane is a native of Saint John, New Brunswick who has a passion for opera and Arts Administration. A graduate of the University of Western Ontario with an Artist’s Diploma in Voice and Opera Performance, Mr. Lane has been working in Arts Administration for the last eight years.

During this time, he has risen through the ranks of Orchestra London having had his beginnings as an Audience Relations Representative for over three years. He then moved on to become Manager of Audience Relations before assuming the role of Marketing Manager, a position he has held for four years. In 2003, Mr. Lane completed the three week intensive Income Managers Program through the University of Waterloo Centre for Cultural Management and Genovese, Vanderhoof and Asssociates.

As a performer, Mr. Lane has appeared in both concert and opera presentations throughout New Brunswick and Southwestern Ontario. He made his professional operatic debut with Opera New Brunswick in the 2000 production of Carmen. He has appeared on numerous occasions with Orchestra London Canada, most recently in St. John’s Passion and Rigoletto, both under the baton of celebrated Canadian conductor Timothy Vernon. Most recently, he sang the role of Sir Joseph Porter in a production of HMS Pinafore with Musical Theatre Productions in London.

He has served on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Chamber Choir from 2001 to 2005 and the Executive Board of London Pro Musica from 2004 to 2006.

In January 2008, Mr. Lane was named one of New Brunswick's 21 Leaders for the 21st Century.
